I can't even put into words how grateful I am to be a finalist for the She Inspires National culture champion award and rising star award 2022. Being a Finalist is recognition of what hardwork, dedication and perseverance can lead too. My aim is to be a role model and encourage more young women of colour to aspire to becoming independent and empowered leaders for our society and to break down any barriers that may stop them from achieving their dreams by making positive changes to the world. Rupinder Sandhu Women lead with strength, respect and empathy. Having more women in leadership positions from diverse backgrounds will help show a future of endless possibilities for all young women. “When I received the news that I have been selected as a finalist for the Women in Leadership Award I was truly humbled and blown away. I made headlines nationally and internally when I was appointed as the first female Muslim Chaplaincy Team Lead for a Trust in NHS England and my aim is to always inspire other females to excel and achieve their personal best.  As a leader I understand that sometimes you have to raise your head up for others to see you succeed for them to tread on the path you have made. My legacy is to allow other women to realise their potential and by winning this award it will be the first of many steps towards this goal”.  Maysoon Shafiq Women in Leadership Award – National Finalist

I’m really looking forward to the She Inspires  Awards Ceremony 2022. It’s going to be an absolute joy and a privilege to be in the same room as such inspiring and incredible women from all over the world.  To win, would be a dream come true, and will ultimately be fantastic to help champion and represent all our food producers; especially our farmers and fishermen. I very much look forward to continuing my journey on this ever increasing successful and creative platform to help educate and inspire other people, especially women and girls, in both the agricultural and fishing industries.  I am currently really thriving and enjoying being a finalist in these prestigious annual awards and I wholeheartedly wish everyone else all the luck in the world and hope we all have a good...

Winning the SheInspires Award is an honour of respect, recognition and gratitude towards hard work, dedication, resilience and commitment. It highlights the importance of honouring and celebrating one’s work to open doors as opportunities and inspiration to others. Personally, it is a lifetime achievement for me, something which I am extremely proud of to be honoured and recognised for my lifetime work in caring for my son, Akhilesh, as well as, inspirational to see how it has become useful for others, from all walks of life, in caring for someone with severe learning disabilities, in order to help them overcome challenges in their own environment. I am grateful for this opportunity in recognising my work and increasing awareness about learning disabilities, making a difference locally...

Awards and recognition are important because if I were to win the Young Achiever Award it would aid me further in becoming a role model for girls interested in radio to take that step into different areas within the industry. Radio has helped me with my confidence and self-belief, I know it can help others. I would feel even more valued knowing that I am making a difference. I love radio; working the desk, interviewing, writing my own shows, choosing music, working on live radio but also pre-recording too. Radio has empowered me and will continue to empower me regardless if I win. It would be an honour to be a life member of She Inspires, raising awareness of all the fantastic work that women in radio constantly do throughout the year as well as my contribution to it.

Awards and recognitions are important because they highlight incredible work and meaningful contributions that are made by individual’s or a company in a particular sector. Awards  also motivate other companies and individuals to come up with creative ideas on how tackle most pressing issues in their societies. Winning the women in leadership award will provide visibility of the significant contributions that I continue to make in the society such as managing a large diverse family enterprise and  motivating youth to engage in entrepreneurship activities to help in the economic development of their nations . I believe that this recognition will also challenge other female leaders/aspiring entrepreneurs to work towards changing and impacting lives of more youth and&nb...

Awards and authentic recognition raise brand awareness and provide reassurance that a company is reputable and trustworthy. They differentiate businesses from competitors, highlight employees’ hard work and promote company achievements. Being nominated for the Agent of Change Award is a humbling and phenomenal experience. It motivates and inspires me to continue putting my heart and soul into Elektec, have a positive impact in society and to be the best role model I can for those around me, particularly my children. I live my life by the motto “do good and good will come to you. With the love and support of my family, friends, staff, clients and community, I am already a winner.  However, I would be overjoyed to win the Agent of Change Award and hopefully it would inspire others...
